CTEP

The CLIL Teacher Education Program

Qualification for a CTEP participant 

  • Teachers at the primary, secondary, or tertiary level who are interested in CLIL in Japan

  • Teacher trainees at the primary or secondary level and graduate students who are interested in CLIL 

  • Language proficiency requirements: Japanese and English

  • Participants who have bilingual (English and Japanese) language proficiency at CEFR B1 level or higher.

Curriculum 

The CTEP comprises the following 6 modules:

  • Module 1 CLIL teaching methodology

  • Module 2 CLIL lesson study

  • Module 3 CLIL classroom management

  • Module 4 CLIL classroom activities

  • Module 5 CLIL classroom language use

  • Module 6 ELT and CLIL pedagogy

The CTEP learning policy:

  1. You study the basics of CLIL pedagogy online through the CTEP.

  2. The CTEP comprises online  materials and realtime tutorial communication.

  3. The CTEP provides online courses and workshops to support your autonomous practical learning.

  4. The CTEP has some seminars such as online seminars and overseas seminars for further learning.

  5. The CTEP had bilingual policy, but not 'English only' policy.
